For brisket, round challah, and honey cake, let someone else do the cooking
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is often celebrated with family and friends around tables of round challahs, savory brisket, and apples and honey. This year, families in Las Vegas can skip the all-day cooking relay and dine out or order in with special menus featuring full-blown brisket dinners; sweet, earthy tzimmes; noodle kugel; and honey cake. The evening of October 2 to October 4 marks the two-day observance this year. Below are restaurants serving Rosh Hashanah dinners in 2024.
Siegel’s Bagelmania: The Jewish deli near the Las Vegas Convention Center can cater family dinners for eight to 10 people. For $349.95, they include matzo ball soup, chopped liver or noodle kugel, potato latkes with cherry applesauce, roasted carrots, brisket with gravy, roasted chicken, round challah, and a choice of honey cake or classic black-and-white cookies. Individual dinners are also on offer for $34.95 each.
